Zamzar is a free online converter that allows fast conversion of any file to a large number of formats. Just complete the four steps and you are good to go.
Zamzar splits its catalogue of convertible file formats broadly into five types – Document, Image, Music, Video and Other formats. Recently they also included video conversions from URLs and supports videos from popular streaming sites like Youtube, Metacafe, Myspace, Dailymotion and a lot others. Just type in the URL and Zamzar will send the link for the converted video to your email. Zamzar also supports file conversion from URL for other file types. Another new feature is the Convert File browser button which is compatible with all popular browsers
Users can convert files up to 100MB for free as guest, but for added benefits Zamzar also has three paid schemes – Basic, Pro and Business, which requires the user to sign up for an exclusive account. The Basic scheme costs $7 a month and is the cheapest scheme while the Pro and Business schemes cost $16 and $49 a month respectively. Paid users can convert files of larger size and have higher priority for conversion and are provided with online storage and a personal inbox. The features vary depending on the user’s chosen scheme.
