If you no longer want to continue your Spotify Premium subscription, Spotify lets you cancel your Premium plan from its apps or website.

In this article, we’ll explore how to cancel your Premium Spotify plan on various platforms.

Cancel Premium Spotify Subscription

The below section covers the steps to cancel Spotify Premium on Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows.

How to cancel Spotify Premium on Android, iPhone app

Unfortunately, Spotify doesn’t let you cancel Spotify Premium in-app on either Android or iPhone. To cancel Spotify Premium, you must go to your Account page on the Spotify.com website in your favorite web browser.

  1. Open Chrome (Android/iOS) or Safari (iOS) on your Android device or iPhone.
  2. Visit https://spotify.com/account.
  3. Under Your plan, tap Change plan.
  4. Scroll to Available plans, and tap on Cancel Premium, and follow the on-screen instructions.

How to cancel Spotify Premium on PC or Mac

The Mac or PC app for Spotify doesn’t have a direct link to cancel your Premium plan. But, there’s at least a shortcut available in the app that takes you to the right webpage on the Spotify website.

  1. Launch the Spotify app on Mac or PC.
  2. Click on your [Account Name] from the top-right corner.
  3. Click Account. You will be taken to your account page on Spotify.com.
  4. From here, scroll to and click Change plan under the Your plan section.
  5. Scroll to Available plans, and tap on Cancel Premium, and follow the on-screen instructions.

If you can’t cancel Spotify Premium

If you don’t see a Change plan option or if you’re unable to change your Premium plan, it may be due to one of two reasons:

Your plan may be linked to a partner company’s service, such as your mobile carrier or another streaming service. In such cases, you may need to contact the partner company to help you cancel your Spotify Premium subscription.

If you have subscribed to a premium Spotify plan through Apple (iTunes) via the App Store in-app purchase, you need to cancel through Apple. Follow the steps in Apple’s guide to cancel a subscription to cancel Spotify Premium.

What if I cancel Spotify Premium early

If you have an individual Premium account or owner of a Family plan, you’ll be able to enjoy premium Spotify features until your next billing, after which your account will be converted to Spotify Free plan.

If you’re a member of a Spotify Family or Duo Plan, your account will immediately be converted to Spotify Free, and you’ll stop being a member of the Family or Duo group that you were a part of.

How to get a refund from Spotify Premium

Usually, if you cancel Spotify Premium, Spotify will stop charging you from the next billing cycle, and you get to enjoy the premium features until that time.

In rare cases, if you were charged but never used Spotify Premium, you may be able to claim a refund from the company within 14 days of purchasing the subscription by contacting Spotify.

We hope this has helped you to cancel your Premium subscription to Spotify.
